Born in Budapest and educated at the Moholy Nage, Eva Nemeth was known as the bird lady of Scandinavian flatweaves. This work dates to the 1950s, Hungary. It was later purchased from a Boston area estate. The design is very Scandinavian looking- incorporating peacocks and geometric designs Nemeth chose her wool yarns in a warm color palette and the result is truly stunning.

No holes or repairs, tightly woven and structurally sound.
Faint spots visible on ivory areas.
